Retrofit Deadlines

Vehicles fitted with an analogue or digital tachograph must be retrofitted with a smart tachograph version 2 by 31 December 2024. Vehicles fitted with a smart tachograph version 1 must be retrofitted with a smart tachograph version 2 by 18 August 2025. Light commercial vehicles and vans with a gross vehicle weight exceeding 2.5 tonnes that are engaged in the international transport of goods or cabotage operations for hire or reward must be fitted with a smart tachograph version 2 by 1 July 2026.
